Tara Shaikh
Associate Attorney

Tara Shaikh is an attorney licensed in Texas since 2012 after graduating Cum Laude from South Texas College of Law. Tara spent the first portion of her career as an Assistant District Attorney in Harris County where she tried numerous cases and counseled hundreds of victims. After the District Attorney’s Office, Tara joined a commercial real estate company as general counsel. While Tara learned a lot in her time working in real estate and asset management, she missed connecting with clients and the feeling of making a difference in her client’s lives. In 2020, Tara found a natural shift to estate planning, probate, and guardianship law. These areas allow Tara to use her experience in counseling victims to comfort families experiencing a loss, and to utilize her business knowledge to assist clients in creating an estate plan completely tailored for their unique assets and needs. Tara joined Barnes, Lipscomb, & Stewart in July of 2022 and is focused on estate planning, probate, trust administration, and guardianship.
